Two arrested in connection with JC homicide

JOHNSON CITY -- Two men arrested in connection with the Monday homicide in the Village of Johnson City.  Christopher Davis, 43, was arrested in the Town of Dickinson and is being charged with 2nd Degree Murder.  Also, Zackary Franks, 20, turned himself in to JC Police and is being held on outstanding warrants.

The victim was Patricia LaCaprara, 50, of 36 Brown St.  She lived in the first floor apartment, Davis lived in the second.  JC Police Chief Joseph Zikuski described LaCaprara as a model citizen and says the murder was part of an apparent burglary.

A license plate reader picked up the plates of the 2013 white Toyota Camry early Monday morning after the two arrested we seen acting suspicious in a remote area in the Town of Binghamton.  Police later entered the plates and found three different entries in the last several days.  The car was found on Vestal Ave. in Binghamton which led to more information that led to Davis's arrest.

Although the arrest has been made, little information is being made available because it is still an on-going investigation.
