Tee-Off for Mom's House

VESTAL -- Local students take a swing at helping others pursue an education.

The Suny Broome Public Relations Practicum class hosted a mini golf fundraiser Saturday to benefit Mom's House.  Eighteen teams came out to Chuckster's in Vestal to try their hand at put-put and also win some raffle prizes.  All the money will go to the organization, which provides free child care to low-income single parents trying to continue their education.

"We're really proud of these kids because they pulled off this whole thing together," said Tim Skinner, Public Relations Professor.

"It's been very successful.  We've raised over $1000," said Professor Jason Detrani.

The Suny Broome Public Relations Practicum allows students to design and execute a campaign with the use of social media.
