Cleanup Continues in Sherburne

SHERBURNE -- Clean-up from Saturday's floods continues in the Town of Sherburne.

We spoke with the Mayor of Sherburne and he says all roads have been re-opened and the village crew is monitoring sewer and water plants.  More homes and businesses were found to have suffered first- floor flooding.  In order to prepare for more possible floods, the Mayor says the village may help raise the banks on some streams.

"We've got work to do.  But the immediate danger has certainly passed.  We're assessing damage and looking at areas that might be a hazard should we get a couple inches of rain at a time," said Mayor Bill Acee.

Mayor Acee says he expects sherburne's recovery efforts to last another month.
