Wood looks to defend DSGO Title

ENDICOTT -- From Monday qualifier to 2012 Champion, Willie Wood's journey in last year's Dick's Sporting Goods Open was one for the history books.  Wood sank a 35 foot putt to force the first playoff in tournament history before beating Michael Allen outright on the very first playoff hole.

But with a field that Tournament Director John Karedes says "is the best on tour" for the second straight year, Wood will have a task ahead of him if he hopes to defend.  But after a career changing season in 2012, he says he's ready to handle the pressure.

First round play begins Friday August 17th at 9:30am.
