Last week of legislative season

ALBANY -- The state legislature is heading into its final week of the legislative session and politicians are gearing up for some long days.

Four big ticket items Governor Cuomo is pushing for are private casinos, tax free businesses near schools, woman's equality agenda, and campaign finance reforms.  Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo says the bills must be in print by Monday evening in order to pass the them on time.

"I would like to see us certainly pass the Women's Equality Agenda and I would also like to make sure that we pass a number of initiatives that are in place to try to help grow jobs in a variety of sectors upstate, not only in high tech sectors, but also our local manufacturing and for agriculture as well," Lupardo said.

She also says they may stay in session past Friday in order to get the proposed bills passed.
