Ithaca Man Arrested for Alleged Meth Use
6/15/2013 (Updated 11:12:06 PM)NANTICOKE-- An Ithaca man is sent to jail for allegedly using meth in the presence of his young son.
34-year-old Nicholas Faiella was arrested Saturday night, after Broome County Sheriff Deputies found him in a corn field in the Town of Nanticoke. Deputies responded to a trespass complaint at about 9:10 p.m. Faiella was caught in his car, in the field.
Police say Faiella was seen injecting what they determined was methamphetamine into his arm with a hypodermic needle-- all while his 2-year-old son was also in the car.
The child was turned over to his mother. And Faiella was remanded to the Broome County Sheriff's Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bond.
