BCC Among Southern Tier Colleges Awarded State Grant

A program developed by Broome Community College and three other  schools to provide area employers with more skilled workers has been awarded $15 million dollars from the state.

The grant is part of the SUNY 2020 plan. BCC, Alfred State, Corning Community College, and Jamestown Community College have created the retooling the Southern Tier plan.

The initiative is a direct match and training program with local advanced manufacturing companies that include Corning, Solepoxy, and Raymond Corporation.
