Grecian Festival in Vestal
5/31/2013 (Updated 7:11:06 PM)You want to be Greek for a day? Try the 40th Annual Grecian Festival at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Vestal this weekend.
The festival started Thursday and runs though Sunday, starting at noon each day.
People can go and enjoy a variety of Greek dishes such as gryos, honey puffs, and baklava.
There will also be Greek music and Hellenic dancers, along with a basket raffle.
"It is a tradition we've probably been coming for the last eight or ten years.
I love the eating, the seating arrangement, and it's just a wonderful activity that we look forward to every year," said Binghamton resident, Judie Meador.
There will be a lamb dinner Sunday. Church officials say that without this fundraiser they wouldn't be able to run the church.
