Registration continues for Relay for Life

JOHNSON CITY -- For the 21st year the American Cancer Society is making final preparations for the Relay for Life.
At an open house Tuesday evening, people could come and register their teams and pick up luminarias in advance of the event.  Relay Chairman Pat Vincent says that as everyone's lives seem to be impacted by cancer these days, it's important to join the fight against the disease.

"I think as a personal involvement it shows that you care.  As a medical professional I do it because of the people I come in contact with every day," said Vincent.  "Everybody's lives have been touched by cancer and showing that we have a personal stake in this is very important."

This year's Relay for Life will be held at Broome Community College from June 28 - 29.  If you'd like to register you can call (607) 766 - 6931 or visit
