BU Graduation Weekend Wraps Up

BINGHAMTON -- The graduation weekend wrapped up and thousands said goodbye to their home for the past four years.

Students from the School of Management, Decker School of Nursing, and Harpur College walked the stage Sunday.  This year was the first time that each school had separate ceremonies. President Harvey Stenger said the new set up was a success, and overall-- the day was bittersweet.

"There's a bit of sadness when the graduation ceremony is over, but the memories are great and we know they're going to do great things.  They'll be coming back, they'll stay in touch," said BU President Harvey Stenger.

"My passion is to help others, and I just got a job at UHS, so I'm really excited to come back and give back to the community," said Eve Baxter, a graduate of the Decker School of Nursing.

Nursing students told us one of their most memorable experiences at BU was caring for people displaced by the floods of 2011.
