24th Annual Southern Tier Heart Walk

BINGHAMTON -- Hundreds got their hearts pumping to fight heart disease Sunday.

Binghamton University teamed up with the American Heart Association's for the  24th Annual Heart Walk.  One in every three adults in the US has some form of heart disease or has had a stroke.  Families who lost loved ones to the disease say the walk brings them one step closer to getting healthier.

"Our daughter and I have been doing this since my husband passed away.  It's to be more aware.  I want her to be more aware because there's heart disease on my side of the family and her father's side of the family.  And by doing this, we're becoming more aware of how to live a healthy lifestyle," said walker Corinne Constable.

All money raised will be donated to the American Heart Association for research.
