Volunteers Make An "Impact" On Families Life

Volunteers from the Impact Project worked the entire day on Saturday building and replacing an old handicap ramp for a family of three. The residents say their quadriplegic daughter needs the ramp to get around safely, and the new structure will improve their daily lives.

"I don't even know how to say thank you in the right way to these people.  Giving up their Saturday, wonderful weather, they're here helping my daughter, giving her independence.  The more independence she has, the happier she'll be," said homeowner Dawn Stone.

The Impact Project is an independent, Christian non-profit organization that helps low income and elderly residents.  This is the 54th home they have helped to improve over the past nine years.
