Late Night Silver Lake Car Crash Leaves One Dead

A late night crash in Silver Lake township has left one person dead.
Pennsylvania State Police say it happened around 11pm Thursday about 2 miles east of State Route 267.

Police say 49 year old Joseph Rafferty was driving with 35 year old Kimberly Kelly Mott on Hawleyton Road.

Authorities say Rafferty lost control of his Dodge pick-up while taking a right hand curve causing the truck to roll over several times.

Rafferty and the passenger were thrown out of the vehicle, police say.

Rafferty was pronounced dead on the scene.

Kelly Mott was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital.

No word on the extent of her injuries.  Police are still investigating the accident.
