Siena Poll: Nine out of Ten say Corruption in NY is a Serious Problem
4/22/2013 (Updated 10:54:40 PM)One third of New Yorkers believe that their legislator could be arrested, and 81% say more arrests of state lawmakers for corruption are likely.
That's the result of a new Siena Poll.
According to the survey, even more New Yorkers, nine out of ten of them, say corruption in the New York State Legislature is a serious problem.
The poll was conducted up through the day that State Senator Malcolm Smith was indicted for an alleged plot to bribe his way onto the ballot in this year's New York City mayoral race.
