B-Sens work on Special Teams in Practice
3/28/2013 (Updated 8:27:17 PM)BINGHAMTON -- In Wednesday night's loss to the Penguins, the B-Sens found themselves in a 3-0 hole before the end of the first period and in what seems like the blink of an eye, have lost two in a row.
Penalties were an issue for Binghamton against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, so at practice Thursday the players worked on special teams and maintaining focus on the ice.
Corey Cowick discussed the importance of knowing when to take a penalty, "We'll take the hard ones- finishing a guy off in the corner or something like that, but in terms of stick penalties we don't want to be taking those. It's those ones that bite you."
Head Coach Luke Richardson had strong words for his team as well, "Your discipline is gonna be key and you have to work on that. You have to work on controlling your emotions out there. You've gotta play with emotions but you have to control it. In the playoffs, one bad penalty can end your season."
