M-E holds final home practice before State Semis

ENDWELL -- Spartans Head Coach Sonny Spera held one final practice in the Maine-Endwell gym on Wednesday before his team travels to Troy for the State Semifinals on Friday afternoon.

The Lady Spartans focused on scouting opponent Harborfields out of Long Island. The Lady Tornadoes are known for their height and balanced scoring.

After practice, Spera discussed how his team can combat the height difference, "Defensively, try to get some pressure and to create some things for our offense. When you give up a little bit of size I think you have to make up for it with a little bit of heart and a little bit of determination. We're gonna play as best we can."

The team departs tomorrow afternoon and hopes to hold one final practice in Troy tomorrow night.
