B-Sens make community appearance, prep for tomorrow night
3/12/2013 (Updated 11:07:51 PM)BINGHAMTON -- The B-Sens announced Tuesday that they released F Stephen Schultz from his Professional Tryout Contract.
The team was also out in the community Tuesday evening, with Dustin Gazley and Danny New making an appearance at the Ground Round and five players plus Max bowling with fans at Laurel Bowl in Binghamton. The bowling event was to raise awareness for the Magic Paintbrush Project.
Among the B-Sens at Laurel Bowl were Brett Lebda and Nathan Lawson, who discussed how the team is handling its short layover before Wednesday night's game in Rochester.
Lebda said, "Personally I like playing mid-week games. It kind of breaks the week up and you feel a little more refreshed even, instead of playing three and three (games in a row on the weekend) so I think we're looking forward to it."
Goalie Lawson added, "We had a good, hard practice today and we'll go up to Rochester and kinda do what we do and hopefully come away with two points."
Lawson, who had 41 saves in Saturday night's OT win over the Americans, said that Head Coach Luke Richardson has not yet named a starting goalie for Wednesday night.
