More Health Studies for Fracking?

Intrigue in Albany could set the clock back on fracking in New York State.

Last year the assembly passed a bill calling for a moratorium on the drilling practice.

But that effort stalled in the Republican-led senate last year. But this year the state senate is led by a coalition of Republicans and Independent Democrats.

Tuesday, that group of Democrats announced it was supporting a two-year moratorium to allow for the completion of a pair of independent health studies.

The Joint Landowners coalition of New York expressed outrage at what it calls stall tactics.
