Man Charged with Rape

An Endicott man is under arrest after police say he tried to rape a woman,

Futahi Hampton, 33, is charged with attempted rape after police received a report that a man had attempted to rape a woman as she walked to her residence on Delaware avenue in the Town of Union.

Police found Hampton at a convenience store in Endicott a short time later. Hampton is being held in the Broome County Jail without bail.
