Centenarian Party

Reaching 100 years-old is a big milestone, but it is even more special when you can celebrate with a group of other centenarians!

The Good Shepherd Fairview Home held its annual "Centenarian Party"  Thursday to honor several residents who are 100, or close to it.

The honorees ate cake and listened to live music with family, fellow residents, and staff.

One  "almost centenarian" told us her secret to  a long life.

"I loved life and I didn't worry a lot.  I did worry over the two children-- you know, when they were running around wild," said "Almost Cetenarian" Honoree Mrs. Irene Orr.

Staff told us that while this year's group of three 100-year-olds is impressive, but they've had as many as nine centenarians at one time.
