Vestal Woman Held at Knifepoint in Home Invasion

Police are still looking for the suspect in a home invasion Wednesday in Vestal.

Police say a male forced his way into a home at 128 South Jensen Road and held a woman at knife-point just before 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.

The woman and her two children, ages one and two, fled the home and called authorities from a neighbor's house.

None were injured. Police describe the suspect as a white male, about 50-years-old with short to medium length dark hair that contained a lot of grey, scruffy facial hair and discolored teeth.

If you have information you are asked to call Vestal detectives at 754-2477, extension 347. Vestal police remind residents to lock their doors and not open them for strangers.
