Police: Johnson City Man Tries Twice to Rob ATM

JOHNSON CITY -- The second time was not the charm for a Johnson City man trying to break into an ATM machine, according to police.

47-year-old Gerald Wicks is charged with trying to break into a machine at the NBT Bank on Main Street on Friday and Saturday - both times unsuccessfully. Police say they found Wicks behind the bank and arrested him on Saturday. Wicks faces two felony charges of attempted grand larceny in the third degree. He is in Broome County jail.
