Johnson wins Daytona 500, Danica makes a splash

DAYTONA, FL -- After yesterday's crazy crash in the Nationwide Series took out a chunk of the fence and sent more than two dozen fans to the hospital, the Daytona International Speedway was all fixed up and ready to go.

On Academy Award Sunday, the Great American Race had James Franco as its Grand Marshal.

In lap 90, Danica Patrick made history by becoming the first female ever to lead laps. She got as close as third in the final lap but would end up finishing eighth.

It's Jimmie Johnson who crosses the finish line in first place. Johnson wins his second Daytona 500.
