The B-Sens jump started the night with an early power play goal in the first as Mark Borowiecki netted his third goal of the season at 4:51 unassisted. Just 54 seconds after Binghamtons first goal, Albany forward Joe Whitney would respond by slapping one past Marc Cheverie with the help of Matt Anderson and Philip DeSimone at 5:44. The B-Sens would finish out the period up by a goal thanks to Jean-Gabriel Pageau, as he put one past Jeff Frazee on the power play at 10:45, Chris Wideman and Brett Lebda earned the assists.
Shane Prince had the second periods first goal courtesy of Stephane Da Costa to put the B-Sens up 3-1 at 1:12. Although Binghamton would have several good chances in the second, they were unable to maintain their lead as Devils center Steve Zalewski would score at 5:52, Dan Kelly drawing the assist. Shortly after, Mike Sislo would tie the game at three a piece after receiving a pass from Harri Pesonen at 10:41. Before the period concluded, Albany would sneak in one more as Whitney tallied his second goal of night on the power play at 19:37. Zalewski and Anderson each assisted.
Albany maintained their momentum through the beginning of the third as DeSimone put the Devils up, 5-3 with assists from Raman Hrabarenka and Sislo. Despite holding the Devils to just five shots in the third period, the B-Sens were unable to come back and rally two goals.
Cheverie, earning his third start as a B-Sen, made 30 saves on 35 shots. Frazee stopped 36 of 39 shots, earning his fifth win of the season.
