Whitney Point Woman Charged With DWI With Child In Car

A Whitney Point woman faced a judge after driving drunk with a child in the car.

Cortland County Sheriff's Department officials say they responded to a call that a car hit a tree on Clute Road in the Town of Virgil. They then found 49-year-old Michelle Christopher at a nearby home. 

Further investigation revealed she had been drunk at the time of the accident and had her eight-year-old child in the car at the time.  She was arrested for DWI.  She appeared in court this week.
