Binghamton University Day

JOHNSON CITY -- BU students got a chance to showcase their talents on Saturday.

Hundreds crowded the Oakdale Mall to witness the 4th annual Binghamton University Day. Student groups and volunteers came together to educate the public on the University's activities and projects. Attractions included an archaeology exhibit and a Tae Kwon Do performance.

"You know, we do it in the cold, dark months of February just to give people a little bit of extra entertainment, but also information," BU President Harvey Stenger said.

The event is one of many recent initiatives to connect the campus and local community.
