Gas Price Gouging Hotline Lauched, as Pump Prices Rise
2/22/2013 (Updated 11:03:06 PM)As gas prices continue to rise, Governor Cuomo has directed New York's Division of Consumer Protection to launch a hotline, for New Yorkers to report suspected price gouging at gas stations:
The toll free hotline is 1-800-214-4372. You can use it to tell officials about sudden and unexpected increases you see in gas prices.
And here is what some motorists around the county are running into:
The average price of regular unleaded is $3.99 per gallon --up five cents from last week, and an increase of 30 cents from just one month ago.

And in Bingamton, the lowest prices ,according to gasbuddy.com, are $3.89 per gallon at the Kwik Fill and Wave stations on Upper Front Street.
