M-E ups anti-bullying efforts

The district used grant money to purchase a new web-based software called Sprigeo. Parents, students, and victims can now report bullying by filling out an online form on their computer or mobile device. The form is then immediately sent by e-mail to an administrator.
"You have to have a way of reporting on a confidential basis. And basically 24 hours, 7 days a week. So this is the most logical way of doing that-- and we think it's a great tool," said Jason Van Fossen, M-E Superintendent.
School officials say The Dignity for All Students Act passed this summer provided the impetus for them to use Sprigeo which is already used by several other schools in the state.
