Kirkwood Woman Charged with Animal Cruelty

KIRKWOOD -- A 49 year old Kirkwood woman is under arrest. She is charged with animal cruelty.

Lisa Mistretta is accused of running the H.E.A.R.T., or the Humane Enforcement and Animal Rescue out of her home on 139 Burts Road.
Authorities say there were conditions which caused animal illness and suffering.

Volunteers from humane societies in Georgia, and Broome County helped remove numerous cats, dogs and other animals from the property.
