Binghamton claimed the lead at 3:29 of the second as Louie Caporusso scored his first American Hockey League goal with help from Wideman and Schneider. Widemans two points earned him his first multi-point game as a Binghamton Senator.

Steve Zalewski tied the game a two as he netted his eighth goal of the season off a feed from Joe Whitney at 15:07 of the third period, ultimately forcing overtime.

The game progressed to a shootout where Schneider scored the game winning goal in the sixth round to send the B-Sens home with the extra point.

Cheverie earned his first win for the B-Sens with 35 saves on 37 shots through regulation and overtime and only allowed one goal in the shootout.
