Reaction to State of the County

There was reaction, not to the asteroid but to Debbie Preston's attempt to merge orbits and trajectories with the Broome County Legislature.

Thursday, you'll remember County Executive Preston used her Valentines Day presentation of her State of the County Address to pass out white roses to each county legislator.

She said it was a peace offering, in hopes of more teamwork and cooperation among legislators for the betterment of the county.

So, a day after the offering, how is it being received by legislative minority leader Dan Reynolds?

"I don't know, but I like the concept especially being in the minority, we're vastly outnumbered to the extent that politics even plays are large role on what we do at this point," said Minority Leader, Dan D. Reynolds.

Preston says getting the economy moving is a top priority, which all factions must concentrated on, by putting differences aside.
