Spartans and Tigers and Black Knights, oh my!

ENDWELL -- Yesterday when Maine-Endwell seniors Luis Uceta signed their letters of intent to play at Cornell next year, they joined an already impressive list of Section IV footballers taking their talents to the Big Red.

Former Union-Endicott player and member of the Big Red David Archer is the new head coach. His Quarterback coach? Former U-E head man Shane Hurd.

When asked about playing under their rivals, especially Hurd, who handled the recruiting, Uceta said, "He's always busting on me and Jake for going to M-E and being a rival school. So you know, we had a great relationship from the start."

Haddock echoed his sentiment, "Everything's good. There's no rivalry. We're on the same team now, so it's pretty good. It's gonna be a good thing to have some people from Sect IV up there with us."

Also joining the Cornell coaching staff is former Windsor player Jason Houghtaling. He'll be the team's offensive coordinator.
