Big Day for Future Big Red

ENDWELL -- Today Spartan seniors Jake Haddock and Luis Uceta signed their letters of intent to join the Cornell football team next year.

Putting their pens to paper signifies the end of a long process for the two back-to-back state champions. They both said it is a great feeling to have their futures locked up, but that is not the only thing that's exciting for this pair.

When asked about signing together and continuing to play football as teammates, Haddock said, "He's been a teammate of mine for as long as I can remember and just to be able to play with him and to keep playing with him when usually you'd break apart from all your other teammates is a pretty cool thing."

Uceta thinks it's pretty cool too. He added, "I wouldn't choose anyone else other than Jake to sign with. He's one of my best friends and to go to school together and possibly room together makes things a lot more comfortable going to college."

Haddock and Uceta will join former Union-Endicott player David Archer on the Cornell roster next season.
