Binghamton Police Officer will Fight DWI Charge

A Binghamton police officer will fight a DWI charge after rejecting a plea deal offered by the district attorney.

Christopher Stoeckel was charged with DWI back in October after showing up for work.

He resigned from the force later that month. The DA offered Stoeckel a deal to plea to a misdemeanor charge.

Instead the case will go to trial. The defense has until April 5th to file motions on the case.
