3D Televisions Popular for Super Bowl

VESTAL -- Many of us weren't lucky enough to have a ticket to Sunday's big game- but that kept the staff at one local store pretty busy.

The sales team at Best Buy on Main Street say dozens of people came in on Sunday looking for big screen tv's for the big game-- and half of the TVs they sold were in 3D. The 3D TV 's require you to wear special glasses, which some say are a nuisance. but others say 3D is particularly good for sports because of the smooth, realistic picture.

"A lot of TV's are becoming more mainstream with 3D.  Previously it was more of a luxury.  You'd have to spend almost thousands of dollars, now you can pick one up for $600 or less," said Christopher Ketchy, Home Sales Supervisor at Best Buy.

"I think it's going to make the experience of watching the Super Bowl that much better," said a customer.

Best Buy representatives say the ideal size of TV for a viewing party is one with an at least 50 inch screen.
