School officials say Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School was put on lock down around 11am Thursday after two students told the principal another student had brought a BB gun to school.
The principal spoke with the student and found the small BBgun.
Police responded to the school, and as a precautionary measure school officials say students were locked in their classrooms with a teacher until the incident was resolved.
Officials say students were not in any immediate danger.
