Student Brings BB Gun to School Resulting in Lockdown

A Binghamton elementary school was put on lockdown Thursday after a student brought a BB gun to school.

School officials say Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School was put on lock down around 11am Thursday after two students told the principal another student had brought a BB gun to school.

The principal spoke with the student and found the small  BBgun. 

Police responded to the school, and as a precautionary measure school officials say students were locked in their classrooms with a teacher until the incident was resolved.

Officials say students were not in any immediate danger.
