Extension of Endicott Trail Possible

If you like exercising in the great outdoors, good things could be coming your way in Endicott.

The Village is exploring ways to expand the Chugnut Trail. Right now it extends from the high school to just before the bridge into Vestal.  Village Trustee, Frank Flint, says the goal is to extend it and to connect it with other trails in the future.

"Hopefully, in the future, we can continue to expand it and have a complete loop that will go to Johnson City, Owego, and what have you--but this is for a small extension of about five miles or so to see how much it's going to cost and what the feasibility is," says Frank Flint, Trustee, Village of Endicott.

Flint says they are considering two proposals and will select a design team to conduct the study next week.
