Zumba-thon for Sandy Relief

Many use zumba for exercise, but one area school is using dance moves to raise money for Sandy relief.

Students and parents at Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School in Conklin participated in a zumba-thon Wednesday evening.  For  $10 dollars, anyone could enjoy an hour and a half of the Latin inspired dance-fitness exercises.

Proceeds will go to the Mineola School District on Long Island,  which suffered damage from  Super Storm Sandy.

"Exhausting, but at least it was a good turn out and I'm happy with everyone for coming," says Mary Hill, music teacher and Zumba instructor.

If you missed out Wednesday but still want to help, donations can be sent to the Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School.
