Tell Broome County What Kind of Hazards We Should Prepare For

What kind of Hazards are you expecting in your community?

If you live in Broome County, your public officials would like to know--
 
Although many of us might think of floods-- the county's Department of Planning and Economic Development wants your ideas of what other disasters and emergencies we should prepare for.

"And because it's a county-wide plan with all the municipalities involved in it, they could be looking at their municipalities and say,  wait a minute something might be missing or, no,  this was a little bit different then what they have down here," said Broome County executive Debbie Preston.
 
Other disasters could include drought, extreme temperatures, severe storms, and earthquakes.
