Woman Arrested, Accused of Abandoning 50 Cats

A woman is arrested after moving and allegedly abandoning approximately 50 cats at her old house
 
59 year old  mary Herko-Daniels, now of Apalachin, was charged with abandonment and failure to provide sustenance to animals.

The investigation- done by the Broome County Humane Society and the Vestal police revealed that Herko-Daniels moved from her Lincoln Drive home in Vestal sometime in October of 2012  leaving behind the cats.

Many of the cats were malnourished and in need of medical attention. They will be made available for  adoption after receiving proper care.
