Water Line Break in Binghamton

Crews worked through the night Friday to clean up a water line break on Felters Road in Binghamton.

Local residents told Fox 40 that they heard water rushing down the street around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday and immediately called the city water department. Crews were on the scene until 10:00 a.m. Friday morning fixing the break.

Officials believe that the break was due to the current, cold, weather conditions.  Damage to the houses was minimal because the area is fed by several other main lines.
