U-E School's Budget

So, just how much help are  local schools expecting from the Governor?

As we've mentioned , in his budget address this week, Andrew Cuomo talked on his administration's committment to education.

On Wednesday, rhetoric met reality, as the Union Endicott School Board presented it's budget for 2013-14.

The first draft, which maintains all current programs, has the budget at 74 and a half million dollars.

"This is the first of the several weeks, months conversation with the community where we seek input from the community the Board of Education makes determinations and then we together craft a spending plan for the community to look at in May and determeine where of not to pass it," says Dr. Suzanne McLeod, Superintendent of U-E Schools.

The board will adopt a budget in April and  there will be a final vote on the budget on May 21, 2013.
