Cops: Drunk Driver Was on Wrong Side of Road

A Conklin woman is under arrest after police say her drunk driving caused a head-on collision which sent one person to the hospital.

21-year-old Juliana Porter of Conklin is charged with DWI. The Broome County Sheriff's Office says porter was driving on the wrong side of Carlin Road when an oncoming driver swerved to avoid her.

Porter also swerved, causing the head-on collision around five this morning.

A passenger in Porter's car, 23-year-old Alexander Burrows from St. Petersburg Florida, was sent to Wilson Hospital with a laceration on his head.

Porter is scheduled to appear in Town of Conklin Court.
