Schumer Inaug Remarks

A prominent New York Senator was prominent  during inaugaral activities Monday at the capitol--
 
In Statuary Hall, at a luncheon in honor of President Obama and Vice President Biden, New York Senator Charles Schumer made mention of the significance of the day, and of  its place in history:

"Today we also remember an event that took place outside this building, but reverberated within. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jjr.'s march on Washington, which spurred passage of the historic civil  rights act," said Schumer.
