What is Science?

It was a night of star gazing and science at the Barnes and Noble in Vestal on Saturday.

Area residents of all ages came out to have a discussion about science with Cornell Astronomer Greg Sloan.  He spoke about ways to make teaching science interesting and engaging. We asked Sloan what is science?

"That's actually part of the point to the talk-that it's actually really hard to define what science is. But to me, science isn't this big pile of knowledge that we try to cram into people's heads.  Science is a process and it's kind of fun," says Greg Sloan, Cornell Astronomer.

Kopernik Observatory and Science Center helped to put on the event. They also brought down some telescopes for future astronomers to view Jupiter and its four moons.
