Hurd leaves Tigers for Big Red

Fox 40 has confirmed that U-E Tigers Head Coach Shane Hurd will be leaving the shores of the Susquehanna to take over as Quarterback Coach for the Cornell Big Red.

Hurd joins the staff of David Archer, UE Class of '01, who was named Cornell Head Coach earlier in January.

Hurd leaves the Tigers after successfully leading them to a Section IV Class A title this season before losing to Sweet Home in the State Semis.

The Union-Endicott school district could not confirm or deny the report until after reviewing Hurd's resignation at the January 28th school board meeting.  Hurd could not be reached for comment.
