New Town of Union Councilman Appointed

TOWN OF UNION -- The Town of Union has a new board member as of Friday.  Life long Town of Union resident and former zoning board member Lenny Cicciarelli was appointed and sworn in Friday afternoon by the current town board. 

Cicciarelli fills the vacant board seat that once belonged to Rose Sotak before she became town supervisor.

Cicciarelli was one of six candidates the board was considering.

He said his experience on the zoning board and 15 years of construction management allows him to see issues objectively.

"I see many different viewpoints.  I see employees viewpoints.  I see owners view points, and I've always tried to intermingle and try to find the best middle ground for everyone. I think that's a big component of being on this board, is trying to find a middle ground and what's best for everyone," said Cicciarelli.

Cicciarelli lives in Endwell with his wife and daughter.  He will be on the ballot this November and again in November 2014 for a four year term.
