UHS Warehouse Holds Sale

BINGHAMTON -- You may go to UHS for medical services, but it's not the first place you would think of going to for furniture shopping.

The UHS warehouse has been holding big sales for nearly 10 years. Families lined up at the door today to buy used furniture, including bookcases, carts, cabinets, desk chairs, and curtains.  All money raised goes to the UHS foundation to buy more medical equipment for the UHS system.

"I'm glad we're able to help the community.  People don't have much money these days and they're coming here and they see some of the prices here and it's a deal they can't turn down," said Terry Brown.

Organizers say the sales draw regular customers, and they typically raise $1-2,000 dollars for the UHS foundation.
