Smartphone App Makes Shopping Easier

JOHNSON CITY -- It seems like smart phone applications can do everything these days-- even your grocery shopping!

Wegman's has had an app for a couple years, but now it it is updated to help get you in and out of the store as quickly as possible.  You can make and edit a shopping list-- complete with prices, and organized by aisle.  You can refill prescriptions without calling the store, and you can also look up recipes and add ingredients to the list. 

"On our store list you can actually scan the product.  So if you have a product in your cupboard and you're not sure where you got it, the Wegman's app will allow you to scan the product.  It lets you know if we have it or not.  And if want to buy it, you just add it to to your list," said Sarah Coscia, Wegman's Service Desk Team Leader.

Wegman's employees say many people are already coming in to the store using the updated app.
