Vigil for Bambi Madden

Every year, the family and friends of Bambi Madden hope the vigil they hold on January 11th  will be their last.

"We just want answers.  We don't know what happened.  We just really really need to know.  We need to have closer.  Find out what's going on, what happened to her," said Phyllis Burns, Bambi Madden's mother.

In 2004, the then 34-year-old left her Binghamton home to go to the One Stop on Front Street and vanished.

Each year, the family gathers at the gas station to remember Madden and pray for her return.

"This is her brother. That's Bambi.  That's another brother of hers.  Thats her sister," said Amanda Barry, Bambi Madden's sister.

And hope she will eventually meet the two grandchildren she doesn't even know she has.

"I was thinking, Christmas time, because she's got six grandchildren and I could just picture her with these grandchildren, doing cookies and it's just what she was like .  She just loved children, loved to do things with them," said Burns.

Police say she didn't have a cell phone or credit cards -making it hard for them to track her.  They also don't know wether foul play was involved.
